Thanks for the vid bro. Im having that problem but not as severe at yours. My shop has narrowed the problem down to the fuel breather valve! They pressure checked all the coils and those are fine, plugs are fine, and idle control valve is fine, so were hoping its the FBV.... |

So I haven't gotten to a dealer yet as my work schedule is pretty crazy right now. But last night I was stopped at a red light and my car was idling at about 400.... then the engine just stopped.. No service lights or limp mode lights, nothing no service lights at all. I just started the car like normal and went on with my night.... What could have caused this if my dash isn't lighting up like a christmas tree......

Mine started out like that a few weeks ago, at random if I let the car sit at idle too long, then one day after a fill up it started to idle rough, I though the 2 were connected but it turned out to be a failing precat O2 sensor. I ended up with misfires, limp mode, increased emissions. The odd idling wasn't throwing any codes, and it wasn't until it got bad enough to actually find any error codes. Actuators and idle control components were inspected but couldn't find anything wrong until O2 sensor codes were thrown which led us to the O2 sensor. After putting in a new sensor the car has been flawless.

I have this problem as well. It's just annoying more than anything else - had the car stall a couple times, always after filling the tank, and only then. I should get around to getting it fixed.

You would think they fix it by the time the last 2013 model rolled out....

Its quite possible the Mass Air Flow Sensor (MAF) is dirty, especially if you run an oiled aftermarket filter, as they can gum up the MAF sensor. I used to run into this issue back on my old Mustang GT after cleaning my filter and over oiling.

No MAF on these. Think speed density.

I thought the intake filter may have been clogged or something causing the stalls but I did thoroughly clean my MC intake filter yesterday.. It was so disgusting.. so much black stuff and debris came out of it. But now its nice and clean/oiled up.. The only difference I noticed was that the engine and exhaust noise was way louder, so a bonus there I guess..

It sounds more like the breather valve but it wouldn't hurt to run a tank of techron concentrate and give her an Italian tune up.

To OP and whoever may stumble upon this, i had exactly same symptoms with my car. I replaced my ICV and ICV hose and idling issues remained. Even though it never once gave me idling issues after refill, it turned out to be the fuel breather valve. The shop or where ever you take it too should be able to run ISTA and tests to pin point the issue. If I could do it again, i would have gone from cheapest fix to most expensive.
1) Check if you have bad gas 2) Check gas cap 3) check fuel breather valve 3.5) check O2 sensors 4) check ICV 5) CHeck ICV idle strips for clogging 6) check throttle actuaters |

I have a 05/2013 build with 12550 miles on it. While giving it a periodic run it lit up the dash and went into limp mode. Got it home hooked up diagnostics and showed a 2B23 code. That is the ICV. I then used my diagnostic to cycle the ICV which it it OK. Cleared the codes started it up,ran fine. Next day stared it up and it went right back to limp. Any history and suggestions before I start taking it apart? ICVs are now around $900.00.
