ZOMG, that interior is godawful, but what a fantastic car. If only I had the cash to make it the weekend ride...

that is really one hell of a performer, I guess I could learn to love the front,
I can just imagine what that will do with a electronic boost controller, intake and exhaust. |

Just got to check one out at the New York auto show last week. Pretty impressive in the flesh. I wouldn't call it beautiful, but those points that made me shake my head a bit when looking at the pictures seem to work pretty well when viewed in person. Specifically the roofline and front end actually look worlds better than in the pictures. I think this is specifically because the photographers often take these shots from down near the ground for dramatic effect.
If one normally looks at vehicles when supine, then the GT-R has real faults. Standing up, however, it gets a thumbs up from me. It's pretty much in-your-face styling, but it works. And talk about a halo car! The Nissan exhibit was absolutely more crowded than any other manufacturer, by quite a good margin. Of course, people were leaving shoe prints all over the Sentras in an effort to get to the GT-R, but hey, traffic is traffic. Bruce |

The styling is unique, and a little over the top for me but it looks a lot better now than when I first saw the spy shots. It's kind of interesting, at least. The numbers are incredible for the weight of the thing. |

I find it interesting that C&D's measured performance figures for cars always seem to be (better, faster) than the measured performance figures from every other automotive review magazine.
IE: MotorTrend and CAR rate the GTR's 0-60mph figure at 3.5 and 3.6 respectively. The same thing happened with the C63, C&D tested it at 3.9s 0-60mph while the rest of the magazine world rated it at above 4... generally 4.1-4.3s. Just an observation... |

Yeah, and every car is different. I've seen dyno-graphs from two identical factory spec MINI Cooper S' and they differ by 10 or so hp. There are a whole lot of variables that come into play. It's just an observation... |

The styling (inside and out) is not my cup o' tea, but the performance more than makes up for it. I have a hard time believing that this car is pulling 11.5 1/4 times with only 480 hp. Perhaps it's not so much underrated as having such a neat launch system, and that DCT may help too .

I agree wholeheartedly that you have to see this car in person. People were just GAWKING at the GT-R in the Dallas Autoshow. I always thought it was kind of ugly in the pictures, but this car is SUPER clean. I watched the car spin around it's display for a good 15-20 minutes before I moved on, and before I left the autoshow, I came back to stare at it again. Even the Ferraris and Aston Martins didn't get this type of attention.
