Damage Reported
Is there anyway to look into the damage report when a history check shows that a car has been in an accident? There is very little info in the autocheck or carfax.
Ex: 12/20/2012 MIAMI, FL Police Report ACCIDENT REPORTED(Case #:121220-366571) MULTIPLE IMPACT COLLISION 12/20/2012 FL State Agency MINOR DAMAGE REPORTED Interested to know the extent of this damage. |

Not really, just pay for a pre-purchase inspection at a competent indie shop and hope they can find something. Remember that even the last of the E92s are now 6+ years old. It's going to be harder and harder to find used ones that haven't had minor fender benders.

You can do a public records request to the law enforcement agency and see what the report says. Likely, there won't be any pictures, but the crash report will indicate where you on the vehicle it was damaged. It would allow you to know where to look and how much in value it was damaged, as well as driving factors for the accident (I.e. if the previous owner was driving like an ass clown).
