Any recommendations for a shop in Columbus or should I take a road trip to Cinci (or wherever) to get it done?
On the subject of EAG, I think it is a non-issue for them because they primarily deal low mileage cars that are not driven much. |

I'd check with Tom Hatem in Grandview. I can't speak from personal experience (no one has touched my car except me since warranty expired), however, he road races on the weekends and RB's should be nothing new to him.

+1, these guys know their way around BMWs. I've had them do a few things on my E92 and will continue to do so.

I also live in Cincy and have an '08 M3 Sedan. I was thinking about doing the rod bearings, too.
FYI, I spoke to a guy in Bloomington, IN, that had done a few of these jobs. Jericho Motorsports is the name of the shop. I don't have personal experience with their work, but the owner told me they have done this specific job previously. They might be worth talking to. Any kind of price range I should have in mind? I've seen costs, but they are in older threads, and not in this geographic area. Scott

The price will vary depending on shops hourly rate. Prepare to pay for 10 to 12 hours of labor. Other parts: motor mounts, gaskets, and fluids. If the shop has done enough of them, they may have a better idea of the number of hours. Some shops maybe selective as to which bearings they install, and may want you to buy everything from them. Expect $2000 to $2500 I'd think. |
