i had B&G springs on my e90 m3 for about 8k miles, and hated every second of it. The drop was very nice, aesthetically i was happy, but the ride with EDC shocks was horrible. Very bouncy, bottomed out all the time, the whole time i wished i left the stock springs on. Im about to purchase my 2nd e90 m3, this one i will hold out for the Bilstein EDC compatible Coilovers.
The KW HAS kit is also in the same category as the B&G springs IMHO. They are just a temporary fix to the ride height, not really a solution that is going to be good all around. |

Granted i do live in a city with somewhat terrible roads, but they are definitely not the worst roads i have driven on. |

Now that I'm keeping the M, a new round of modifications are in play. I've ordered some custom interior bits from iND, installing the forcewerks side skirt extensions, M Performance Electronic V2 steering wheel and Eibach lowering springs. Majority of these things should be done in the next week or two as parts arrive.
As far as maintenance there really isn't a whole lot to do. Rod bearings are of course a topic of discussion and I've dragged my feet on. Headlight lenses are being refinished as we speak and then the whole car will be going to my detailer to get refreshed. As soon as majority of this is done I'll post pictures of everything and possibly get a good photographer for a shoot.

Eibach lowers about .6" in the front which is exactly what we need after measuring. I went with a 35 profile tire to try and fill the wheel well. Not looking for hella flush look or any of that nonsense, just trying even the rake it comes with from the factory. Dinan springs were also in consideration. Idea for this build is to have the best ride possible while filling the wheel wells and not having hella flush across my windshield hahaha

EDIT: I do recall Malek posting a long description of why Eibachs are not ideal for ZCP struts specifically. May be worth looking into.

I debated this for awhile and even drove an M with both set ups. Ultimately, I think Eibachs are a better choice for me. Given the small amount of drop I wanted, I couldn't justify the extra coin for adjustability that Id never use

SYT_Shadow mentioned in post 67 that he measured the two springs he had on hand and saw a 10mm difference. http://www.m3post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1481852 I think you will be happy with Eibach.

That said, I still want a 911. And I will at some point get one, but it won't be replacing the E90, at least not in the time being.

Quick update, will be getting the car back FINALLY tmrw. I had the V1 steering wheel uninstalled as it was bought used and turned up to be faulty. Won't go into to many details but it cost me quite a bit between install/uninstall fees. Good news is the V2 will be getting done hopefully tmrw afternoon when I take it from one shop to BMW of Ft Lauderdale
Also, turns out the DCT pan was leaking again, after 7k Miles. My Warranty covered it again but it seems kinda silly, not 1 yr and 7k miles it starts sleeping again?!? I don't track the car, gets driven a short distance as you can see from the miles which include a move from Charlotte to ft Lauderdale. Now I'm sure it wasn't leaking catastrophically but still, frustrating. On top of this, Ryan@iND hooked me up with some interior bits!!! Interlagos DCT knob with tri stitched boot with matching tri stitched ebrake boot! These looks fantastic. I almost went alcantara with white stitching to match steering wheel but decided against. Side skirts will be installed shortly, then the springs and I can say this car will be right where I want it. A little further past OEM+ but enough that's it's not overdone in my opinion. Looking forward to the south Florida meet for proper pictures as well. Will update as soon as everything is done

Damn I've missed this car! Didn't have time to take it to Bmw to have the steering wheel done but will go in Monday for that. Couple of pics of it cleaned. Crazy to see what Cquartz still looks like a year later.
Also I bought a new daily! 2001 740i sport. It's had all the major services, timing chain, cooling system, pixel fix, and lots of others. Can't wait to have this as my daily as I've always loved the E38/39/46 body styles. Timeless designs. It's out of NJ so should have it in a week or so.
