Rod bearings changed

Finally it happened. Swapped old rod bearings with BE Bearings and BE-ARP bolts at deansbimmer MPorium BMW here in Dallas. I drove 5 hours just to do it there to be little bit more confident. Very knowledgable owner and i was very happy how he took his time to answer all of my dumb questions as i am a little OCD. He also found a leak in my side DCT gasket so i guess i am coming back some time in the future to have it changed! I also opted for the Vibratechnic Mounts, absolutely no difference versus stock, however the car feels little bit more solid. Under WOT there is about 30% more engine sound going into the cabin, super cool!!
By the way my car is 2011 with almost 80k miles.

With 80K miles on it . Your bearings show acceptable wear .
Like usual I'm pretty sure a good job was performed by deansbimmer

On the other hand...You have a winner from the S65 German lottery !

LOL at the last pic with the cranks on the table. If I stood them up on end like that I'd bump the table 4 to 5 times in the next 5 minutes guaranteed.

Thanks! I hope my mains are OK based on some that i have seen lol. Do you think i should change oil in 500miles or whatever? I was advised that its not nessesary and if i am absolutely OCD i can change the filter

In your situation it's not nessesary.

He did mine as well. Glad my drive was much closer. He is the man though

Congrats on what looks to be a job well done. If a video shows the difference in noise before and after on the mounts, I'd love to hear it. Considering a path like what you chose when I get to it.

Considering getting mine done since I'm 3 hours east of Dallas. How much was the service including parts and what was the turn around time?

You have better chances of asking him directly about the price. Mine is different because i requested some other stuff and he did a job over the weekend which costs extra for labor. I dropped car off in the morning and picked it up at lunch nice and clean

From what I've read from deansbimmer, of he didn't say the oil change was necessary, I wouldn't worry about it.

Just the street version. I may over exaggerate the 30% but its definetly noticable.
