Looking for a good easy to use OBD for my e92M3 and it seems like after searching around that this Carly seems to be highly recommended. I'm a newbie, so does it do a good job of explaining the codes and what they mean? I have an engine light on at the moment with a "Increased Emissions" note on the status. Will this OBD explain my light better?
Additionally I've read they want to charge a yearly subscription to their IOS app? Then above here it says lifetime updates? Which is what? I just want to know what my overall costs will be (seems like $110cdn for the adapter + $69cdn for the app). What is this e-mail people talk of to get a discount from Amazon 5euros - does that apply to Amazon.ca? TIA! |

If you were a previous paying pro user before april 1st, you get a lifetime upgrade. Anything after that is on a subscription basis now. |

If I get it now is the Full Version subscription based while the Pro Version can be purchased with a lifetime update? Does anyone know the price difference?
Or is it that the old version was called Pro Version and that will now come with a lifetime update and the new version is now called Full Version and its only available as a yearly subscription? Last edited by 2k328ci; 04-25-2018 at 10:56 AM.. |

Carly Used Car Check is not functioning properly for me. It is showing possibility of mileage tampering, due to low
average speed of 24.39km/h( as of 04/24/18), which does not add up with how the car has been driven and with what average speed the car trip computer has been showing. Also, I ran the used car check on 12/27/17. Back on that date the average speed shown by Carly was 24.48. Since then, I have driven the car for about 2000 miles with average speed(according to the car trip c computer) of close to 50km/h, but somehow the average speed Carly's showing has decreased to 24.49km/h Last edited by Kamen; 04-26-2018 at 09:06 AM.. |

Was just about to pull the purchase on the Carly until I found out about their subscription service (that is just implemented since Mar 19) - no more one time purchase of their app. Its $110cdn for the adapter then $80cdn each and every year after that!!! Sorry but $180 for something I can use years down the road is ok, but $180 for something I can only use one year is not, even if I don't subscribe every year, if I have a problem a few years down the line, I am only entitled one fault scan with their "Lite" app and have to pay another $80cdn just to get the "Full" version again just for that year. Argh! I hate rentals, if I buy something, I expect it to work more than a year.
What about the Creator C310+? I am more interested in diagnosing engine codes when I get a EML light and finding out whats wrong than coding some new feature. Does my e92M3 have any specific codes that are not compatible with just e92 coupes? It says compatible with e90/92/93 but it doesn't say M3 - would it be missing any readings? In the same boat. The Creator seems like what you are looking for. Been looking at Foxwell and Bluedriver as well. Bluedriver seems similar to Carly without the coding options and of course the subscription model. Not much found on it on the forums though. |
