S65 cylinder #s

Can someone please confirm that I have the cylinder #s correct? I am replacing my coil packs this weekend, but cylinder 1 & 8 were just done a couple months ago at a shop. I need to know which ones not to do.

I’m sorry, this is kind of a stupid question. I did search online and actually found some conflicting info?? This seems correct though, just want to make sure - and this is probably the best place to ask. Thank you for not judging me

On all bmw v8's, bank one, is always the passenger side. And yes they are in that exact order.

Tomorrow's the big day! I'm doing spark plugs too. I spent some time today studying up and buying some random tools I didn't have.

I have helped do spark plugs on an S65 a couple times, however, both times there other people around who were doing a lot of the work. It's a little different to do it all by myself, but that is precisely what I am trying to get better at!

Make sure you have a 3/8" drive universal for the rear cylinders. Outside of that it's very straight forward.

Yep, I got one of those and also a 5/8"x6" swivel spark plug socket (this was a little harder to track down here in town).

I could have borrowed both of these from any number of friends, but I have learned that when I ask to borrow tools from most of my BMW friends the same thing happens. They bring said tools over for me to borrow, offer to help me with my project, then end up doing most, if not all, of the work. This is awesome, don't get me wrong! I love my friends But, I actually want to do it myself. I love this car and I enjoy working on it. So, now I just buy the tools I need which makes more sense bc I will need them later anyways.
