Just like your previous post asking the exact same thing, you need to be specific.

I have a vt2-625, love it.

I have the VT2-585 (actually tested and puts out right on 600HP), and love it.. The 585 upwards all have the water-to-air cooler, so the big difference is pulley, injectors and tune - everything else is the same. The smaller kits (VT1-550) don't have the water-to-air cooler so are lighter, but put out less power of course.

Just did a two day weekend at Laguna Seca and it pulled strong (of course, I have full internal engine upgrades too). I would do the rod bearings (if you haven't already) at a minimum before putting the supercharger on.

Thanks!

CP rods, CP low comp (10.5:1) pistons/rings, balanced crank, Dinan valve springs, BE rod bearings, VAC coated main bearings, 5-angle valve job, and SPEC twin clutch.

Thanks!

Is there a really definitive difference between the VT625 vs. VT650? The install seems quite a bit more intense with the VT650. So is there really that significant a difference in the power on the street? I've seen guys go from the 625 to the 650, so I guess it's worth it....I guess.

VT2-650 kit is running ~1.5 more boost than the 625 and has a minimum requirement of 93+ octane. If you want maximum power, it's the way to go.

Not really that much difference on the street. At higher speeds the 650 will pull harder but up to , say, 100MPH, there's hardly any difference

I saved the cash from choosing the 625 over the 650 for tires...you'll eat them alive.

Exactly. This is the quote that sealed the deal for me when I decided against the 650:

VT2-625 is your best all around setup if you want very good power on the stock motor IMO. The VT2-650 is very dependent on fuel quality as it maxes out the stock motor and fuel system. The 650 kit was designed for customers who want to squeeze every last HP out of the stock motor and are ok with pushing limits. It is also meant for customers who understand that you have to use the product as designed due to the added stress it puts on the motor.

I upgraded from a 550 to a 625 and I will add that there is not much difference between those two kits until 70+mph. It really is a matter of diminishing returns, the 550 kit is perfect for a street car IMO. But I also don't regret upgrading .
