here in the UAE we have to pay $100,000 for a fully loaded M3....and you have no option to reduce options! and to add more insult to the injury, it come with sunroof not even carbon fiber roof!

I'd love to know how BMW AG's price model gets consolidated to overall profitability on a revenue/cost model (e.g. R&D/Sales %). Ya got to think that US sales are in-effect subsidized based on corporate overhead allocations and the avg price globally - I've seen SS's estimate of USD $93k, which does not seem unreasonable ...

when i bought my E46 M3 with 6 speed manual, i had to pay more since it was special ordered since all M3s at that time came with SMG. in other words, if i want to buy the E92 M3 with DCT and CF roof(which should be standard), i'll end up paying more than $100k!!! it'll be cheaper for me to ordered it from the U.S, fly to the states and ship my car back....or i can have my friend in the states do it for me. |

medicare/aid income local (state, county, city, real estate) taxes fuel, energy, phone, cable alcohol tabacco sales on most items car registration it adds up fast... not to mention we are in hawk up to our necks, credit card debt, and no savings...and 50 mil w/o insurance and extremely expensive post HS education...and healthcare that ranks at the bottom of the list yet costs 2-3 times as much per capita... we could learn from some of our neighbors around the world |

I also feel having a sunroof is less safe in the event of a crash. I don't want a hole cut into my roof. Does anyone have any info on the safety angle?

Sunroofs are simply for people who want to open up the top. Nothing more to it. They're not gadget freaks or non-speed enthusiasts. They didn't want a convertible but they wanted to feel closer to the sky, so they opt fot the sunroof. It's relaxing to drive with the top open sometimes. Don't hate. |

Any news on e93 m3 pricing?
I have a 335 that will arrive in about 2 weeks but will back out if the price is right on the m3.
I am planning on some bolt-on mods that would be unnecessary on the m3. By my estimate, using the sedan as baseline, I'm guessing just under $68k US. That's borderline in the budget, but might surpass it with options. |

Yes but you do have a unique language, that is worth $100,000 per car alone!

I just ordered a new M3 Coupe with all the options, and got about $2500 off MSRP, thanks to the pricing sheets posted on this forum. In fact, I brought them with me, and the dealer was impressed, and showed me his price book which had the exact same copy in them. In fact, armed with the price sheet I printed out from here, I was able to identify an option that was not on the BMW configurator for 2009.
So, this forum armed me with the facts to negotiate a good deal. |
