I wish it was true, but news like this needs to be backed up with some form of verification. As it's viewed as simply hot air until then.

Dealers can't put in things into the configurator, BMW runs that system. So if this turns out to be true, the M-DCT will be available in Europe soon; doesn't necessarily mean it's simultaneously available in the US. Best regards, south |

6 month delay. Just like the car itself.

I placed an order for a E90 M3 3-4 weeks before the bmw.co.uk website allowed you to configure the car so it's plausible that the dealer system would have the options available well before the website does

Yes, but not necessarily! I'm member of the MPW, a official BMW website for M - Model drivers and I think that we would know this very early and until now there was no info referring this. regards Martin |

well at least we are getting some news about M-DCT and it is good.
Like others said there is a great possibility that it will be delayed for people in the states. Also just because the exchange rate says the us version will cost 5 grand doesnt mean it will cost 5 grand, otherwise we would have to cough up almost 100 grand after converting from pounds.

I understand the 6 month delay in bringing the M3 to the US but why another 6 month delay for bringing M-DCT. Just doesn't make sense. If it's in production than we should be getting it as it's produced.

I expect to cost the same or even less than the E46 M3 SMG option, (<=$2400)...

I talked to my dealer today and they said that the option for my car that is already on order, is NOT available... I asked him if they had heard anything or seen anything lately about it on their site or sales associates and said not at all..... Just give me the option please!!!!!!!!! He said that he would only give me till the 15th of Jan to add options before it goes into production so BMW release it soon...like within the next ten days or so!
