Received incomplete VT625 kit

Hi,

I bought a VT625 kit from a forum member but it is missing parts so i can not install it. Can somebody please take a look at the photos and tell me what is missing?

I can already tell it is missing injectors and bracket for air filter, and i think also a big rubber hose?

Also the supercharger is leaking a lot of (red) oil as you can see in the last photo. Is it normal that this happens during transport when not mounted??

Please help. I will give the seller some time to make this right but i am NOT happy at all with this....

So sorry to hear. Hopefully the seller just made a mistake and will send you the remaining parts. If he doesn't cooperate please let us know the username and maybe we can put some pressure.

ESS can get you whatever missing parts you need if it comes to that but of course that will cost you a little more.

Normal to leak the SC fluid if the shipping bung is not installed. Just make sure and drain the SC completely and refill with a whole new bottle of fluid.

It looks like you have most of the stuff. I would reference ESSs directions. You can google them and check off items based on the pictures/instructions. You are missing injectors, hopefully the PO will send them to you as they are not cheap. You need a new air filter as well.

Also, this is a slightly dated kit since the hose from the relief valve is rubber and not silicone. ESS is good about selling replacement parts so you should have no problem getting the kit up to speed. Hopefully you got a good price for it.

I am sure the seller will sent me the remaining parts, he already told me he had found the injectors and air filter bracket. I just hope that this are the only 2 parts that are missing?

Btw i appreciate all the info guys! Thanks!

This also has me a little bit concerned, the original 625 pulley has a lot of dents in it and is far from 100% straight.
I do not want too know what happens when the belt slips of when driving around....

Intercooler also has a lot of dents, but i guess this is no problem and will not affect cooling?

Front heat exchanger can be combed out, but it looks fine.

You're missing injectors and flash cable/tune, will also need a new filter and supercharger pulley since those items are damaged pretty badly. Would recommend draining and refilling the supercharger fluid as an extra precaution. We can get you all the parts needed.

I can send you a parts checklist if you want to send me your email via PM.

Good luck OP. This is why i absolutely will not buy a used SC or anything with a complex list of parts. I just bought used GC coilovers and i found out it was incomplete after taking half the day off and driving to the installer.

FWIW you could clean that filter pretty easily with a recharge kit or if you're lazy and cheap like me using dish soap and just leaving it dry.

This is the photo I used to confirm I was getting everything. It includes everything.

Who sold you that kit? They should be banned from the forums. I hope you paid paypal and can return it.

Leaking oil is normal as they probably left the vent plug in versus replacing with the shipping plug.

Ohh and just a recommendation, i would initiate a Paypal claim immediately. If he does follow thru and send all components, you can easily terminate the claim. If he does not, you can continue for a partial refund or full refund with return. If you file a claim too late, you will be SOL.

Yes, i regret it now. If i could do it over again i would just spent more and get it new at EAS.

The filter is really damaged, not only dirty. This is not wat i expected to buy.

And what do you see in my photo that is missing?

I am not going to tell the name from the seller since it could just be that he made a honest mistake. I want to give him 1 or 2 days to make it right. I don't think he is a bad guy that is trying to screw me but i am not accepting this and we need to work something out. He already told me that he would ship me the injectors and bracket for air filter, and the cost for a new pulley and air filter he will need to refund to me.

I do not want to do this right away since i believe that the seller will make things right. As said he told me to ship the bracket and injectors asap, so i will give him a few days.

That black hose is like $20 but the injectors are really expensive.

True. It's not about the cost but i just need to know what else is missing so i can tell that to the seller. Injectors are very expensive yes but the seller already found them and will ship them to me.

Its just a little weird that somebody forgets to sent multiple things....especially when shipping overseas with quite expensive shipping costs. I would check everything 3 times to be sure that everything is complete before i would ship something like this. Another problem is that i had made an appointment with a shop a couple of weeks ago to install the kit 23 august (tomorrow).
Since i cancelled the appointment last minute today i now have to pay 250 euro since they booked me for the whole day on saturday and are missing income because of this

Couldn't agree more.. Measure twice, cut once.

I wouldn't be happy with that pulley...

Seems like there's always problems when dealing with ppl across the pond.

Unacceptable he just didn't ship parts.

I'd call him out.
