This kit works very well.

In South Korea, three E92 M3 use this kit for amateur GT race.
There was not any hesitating of shifting and problem during 40min. race for 1 year(2014), even in 35C' hot summer.

Does the pan hang down lower than OEM? If so that could be an issue on lowered cars.

Our billet pan hangs down a little more than an 1 inch over the factory pan. No clearance issues even with lowered vehicles.

Yeah, I would think the diff would present a bigger liability than even a 1" deeper pan.

Thanks for the update on these coolers.
We had 4 installed while we were there. With the use of this cooler, we saw temperature drops as much as 40F. This allowed the BMW's to run their entire 40 minutes sessions.

I have datalogged this cooler package in California on a 35c degree day through some runs in Topanga Canyon. As soon as the cooler was turned on, I could see over a 10c degree trans fluid temp reduction over the course of 8 minutes. This fluid temp reduction was experienced while still driving the car aggressively. This cooler package is so efficient that it effectively also lowered the coolant temps as well because the factory trans cooler was not required to cool the trans temps as dramatically on its own.

One concern I have (which I pointed out above) is blocking the radiator. I would like to see what this does to water temps.

Also, I may have missed it, but I don't see data on how much weight this adds to the car.

It does not affect to cooling capacity of the radiator at all. The factory oil cooler has more of an affect on the radiator than this trans cooler kit.

There are pics of both a 10 row and a 14 row cooler installed and static. Are there two different options? If so, does the 14 row require cutting anything other than a notch for the fan assembly? Is it possible to run a fan on both sides of the cooler (like one inside of each kidney opening)?

We originally tested with 2 types of cooler cores. We ended up getting the best results with the larger core.

Just adding a pan only increases the amount of fluid that is added to the system. The pan alone with cooling fins can decrease the transmission fluid temps, but over time the fluid will still become heat soaked. Our cooler is designed to work in conjunction with a core and pump. A core will give you that fresh air to oil cooling. This is the fastest way to dissipate heat from the DCT transmission.

Two fans are not required. The rad support has to be slightly notched to install the core. The brackets that come with the kit make use of factory holes already supplied in the oem rad support.
