What is the IAT for both intercooler and non-intercooled setups?
How much would it cost to upgrade to an intercooler setup? Last edited by Harry Da Hamster; 05-24-2014 at 02:30 AM.. |

Dyno Database
Here's the Dyno Database entry for these results. Please check for accuracy. I didn't know the year of the car, so I just said 2012. If you know the year of the car, please let me know.

Charles any chance in doing a CARB certified kit? Having to yank off the blower and returning the car to near stock levels every other year is a huge detriment.

I'm still doing research and learning a lot so this might be a noob question but any concerns with bearing wear with this kit? I know I've seen some of the bigger inter cooled kits where they recommend swapping the rod bearings.

Not to hate on the "Gintani" logo again, but the manifold looks so OEM that I bet if they made one with a recess for an "///M V8" logo instead, the smog tester would never know the difference. That's especially true with the Stage 2 kit and the covered air box.

Ha! You're right. I was mostly thinking of their upper-level kits which cover the snail. The Gintani (turbo and second-tier S/C) and Harrop kits look very close to OEM in my opinion, and but for the aftermarket logo, could easily pass as an OEM setup to the untrained eye. If I made an aftermarket blower kit with a near-OEM looking manifold, I would consider charging a little premium for an "OEM-replica" manifold for those of us who, for whatever reason, prefer the OEM look.

Nice price and product. But how in the heck did a stock M3 put down only 307 whp? I thought they averaged 350's (even 320's on a mustang dyno). 307 is close to a stock 335i (n54 anyway).
