1st time @ track with M3, 12.7@113mph
I think I did "OK," the lines where long and I didn't get an opportunity to use LC because the car wouldn't allow me to after having just started the car in the "pits" I did use the poor-mans method, ended up spinning until third gear, w/ the rear end going sideways.
Method i used to launch: slowly ease into the throttle until the clutch engages, when WOT shortly after. I upshifted at 8,600rpm (evolve stage 2). If I went too quick on the throttle, the DCT would drop the clutch and I would spin. Tire pressure = 28psi on 30% treadlife PS2 tires I ran alright, outran two camaro SS (both had 1LE), two 5.0 stangs (non-BOSS), a 300C (1st gen with the 6.2 Hemi). breakdown: R/T .289 60' 2.186 330 5.629 1/8 8.414 MPH 87.24 1000 10.772 1/4 12.771 MPH 112.75 These cars have some top-end power, the MPH delta between 1/8 & 1/4 is 25.51, most cars do 18-22 mph in the final half! Pretty decent results, but if I could drop my 60ft 2 seconds down to a 1.986, I would be running a 12.3, which is pretty good considering I'm not FBO. Mods: K&N filter Gutted primaries Evolve Stage 2 (very little VANOS overlap change, long story, but Sal is getting me a fresh file soon with basic stage 2 VANOS settings) Evolve GTS-DCT MS pullies Also found out something interesting, this is the first car I've had that enjoyed back-to-back runs without turning off the car. If I turned off the car, let it cool down until the oil temps reached 160 degrees, and then restart it and let it finish the cold-start phase, my traps dropped to lower 111mph vs. higher 112 (essentially 113)
