2011, 57000 Miles, 4000 Miles after bearings replaced with Calico coated bearings, Supercharged. Spun bearing, damaged crank. Not added to voting above.

Makes me think negative about our S65,but was the cold start with cold engine respected with low rpm's in this cases...who knows ???

Anyway it's a good thing to have the BPM tune with reduced rpm to 4K when engine is cold !
Regular guy...THX for sharing this pics....it makes all of us thinking about what could happen,and makes me extra careful when engine is cold specialy in wintertime and thats for sure !

2010 - stock with 26k miles. Snapped rod, piston still intact in cylinder. Holes everywhere, motor still turns freely.

Not my car, currently swapping in BMW reman'd replacement for a customer.

Good pics tough to get at the moment as the ventilated area is just above the steering rack.

This was my stopping point yesterday.
