Second M3 just arrived!
sold my silverstone over a year ago and got back into a 2008 E92 M3 this time with DCT. A few things I have noticed after driving three BMW manual tranny's.
DCT is very nice, I love the rev matching and the down shifting is amazing, I rarely use the brakes as far as creeping up to lights and stop signs. It is incredibley quick, I can see how these cars are quicker than manuals Super handy in crummy traffic, I think I am at the point in Austin traffic that my left leg was going numb in rush hour...not anymore This model I got in Portland, I had seen the pictures and had a member on here test drive and look it over with great detail(sent him a $50 visa gift card), however when I saw in person when it got off the carrier, the car has a very rare leather bolsters and cloth center section. I thought all these E9x's came with full leather?? will get some pics of that later..I am pleased, one picture with the tree is without tint, the one inside has 10% rear and 25% on the sides..cheers |

Congrats on the new one! I can understand your choice for dct given your circumstances.
What you're referring to re the seats is the "speed cloth". Full leather is an option. Wish that I had the cloth, actually. |

the main reason for buying this over a host of others was the previous one owner was paying for the oil changes in between the dealership free oil changes which says a lot about how much he cared about the maintenance, he also added Macht Schnell 10mm wheel spacers, front and side blacked out grills...all of these were a nice surprise as I did not know they were on the car. I added a Macht Schnell drop in filter thanks Tom@eas and putting a axle back exhaust on next week..
