Which Tires To get??
Hey guys, just wondering for my 2010 M3 Sedan which tires should I look to go for?? I have the 19 inch wheels and wanted to possibly get a new set of tires by Fall 2012.
Thanks again for the future advice! |

Cool thanks, so they are good high-performer tires any all-season tires to suggest?? I just picked this car up and it has 18K miles on it so I know the tires are good for now but I know I will need to get new ones.

if you want a better wet weather tire get the re-11s. i am going to get a set of those as well for my stock wheels. if you arent interested in a ultra high performance summer set maybe try the PSS instead. cheaper than the ps2s and a good tire also.

i also suggested those depending on his use in the last post. ad08s wear very well provide better dry traction and are also quiet just not as good in the wet.

I 2nd the PSS, have about 5k on a set and love them. For an All Season I really enjoyed the Conti DWS.
I usually order from the tire rack, sorry don't know any good places in NOVA for installation, but tire rack can make a suggestion for you. |

I've never used them but there's also Curry's. I've heard in the past that they'd match, or actually beat, TireRack's prices.
If you are looking for a street performance tire I also highly recommend the PSS - have them installed on all of my cars. If you are looking for a street tire to be used on the street and track I'd recommend the AD08 or the RS3 (better track tire, not the best in the wet). |

Nitto Invos. Tread pattern makes em somewhat suitable for all-season. Some good life on these too, not sure how they compare to the PSS but certainly longer lasting than PS2s.

Operating tempratures and duration are also important factors to consider before purchasing different tires. For example, I noticed in your post that you wanted to purchase the tires in the fall, during the colder months, it would be a waste to drive around onvery aggressive tires, especially if you are not tracking or participating in any auto-x events.
Also, with the more aggressive tires, you can see more wear if you short cycle the tire, as in number of times the tire is heated up vs actual miles used. Think about what you use your car for then decide on tires. |
