Let's try and get something set up. Does anyone know of any good locations where we can show off our exhausts without bothering too many people? I'd hate to invite ya'll over and make enemies with my neighbors haha

I live in Herndon near the HS. Baarii and Karim both know where I live. Let me know. I am pretty much home all the time so I can do it anytime |

don't in any way think that because i have a video camera
that i have any clue how to use it i just have one when i used to film my son when he was a baby if anyone has a tripod that would be swell i'd like to have the camera fixed and start my car and rev to a pre-determined speed ( 3K rpm then 6 etc) then do the same for the other car at the same distance basically i'd like to keep everything the same so you get a feel for the 2 setups under the same situation

nope no power difference. I'm getting much better gas mileage now though (mostly because I putt-putt around to keep from being too loud lol). Like seriously I went from 16mpg to 19mpg

I just installed the modded oem exhaust. I did the mod that replaces the perforated pipes with solid ones. It is scarcely louder than stock at lower RPMs but sounds AWESOME when you get on the gas. It is exactly what I wanted--quiet in the neighborhood yet throaty when you gas it. Not a bit of drone or obnoxious/juvenile sounds. I love it.
I used Dixie sheet metal to do the welding. It was not cheap-about $630. They did a good job though and fabricated and nicely bent the new tubing. It's too bad welding is so expensive around here. I know I could get an Iowa farmer to do it for about $75 and do a good job. |
