Sunroof gasket replacement

Has anyone had to replace the gasket surrounding the sunroof? I've sourced the gasket and found some procedures for removing the sunroof glass panel, but was wondering if anyone has done this and had some advice for re-installation, alignment, things to watch out for.

I just replaced mine tonight. I did so with the sunroof glass still installed. I just alternated between the tilted and a slightly open position to be able to remove/reinstall the gasket on all the edges.

Tips:

(1) Take note of the proper orientation of the gasket upon removal. There is a top and bottom. Be sure to reinstall the new one in the same way.

(2) Don't try to get too much out if the gasket early on reinstallation. I certainly didn't pull too much on it but yet I ended up with slack on the tail end which I then had to work back out before I could button it up.

(3) If using any implement to reinsert/push the gasket into the edge of the glass, be careful not to puncture the edge of the gasket. Use a blunt tool to help with the task. I inadvertently added a small puncture to one corner of my replacement gasket.
