2026 x3 SwapAlease in Florida.. competitive?
I love this x3 but my only regret is that it doesn’t have an opening sunroof. Looking to get out of lease over the next 6-9mo or sooner. Would plan to adjust the money due from Buyer to Seller heading into December down to $2,000 and this would include the BMWFS fee.
Is this a competitive deal? I’ll be under miles too, by December I’ll probably be at 8k miles when lease allows 10k/yr so buyer would be walking into 2k mile buffer. $650/mo payment does NOT include taxes (my total payment is ~$695) Does anyone have experience doing bmw lease transfer? I wish I knew more about this but seems like great flexibility since BMW is one of the few that completely removes liability from the original lessee upon transfer. Would look to get an x5 as CPO or another lease. https://www.swapalease.com/lease/det...?salid=1777646 Last edited by Saltydriving; 08-01-2026 at 10:31 PM.. |

Must have been about 2010 I was at the other end of a swap-a-lease transfer. I picked up a really nice '08 e90 335i, plus a little cash on the deal. I simply had to apply to BMW FS, which was quick and painless. Signed some paperwork and picked up the car from the original lease holder. At the end, I was under miles and turned it in to a local BMW dealer. I think I paid a termination fee of some sort. Happened too long ago to remember that detail.
Interesting side note -- the dealer advertised the car as a one-owner, even though I was the second. I didn't bother with the CarFax, but I would assume it showed BMW FS as the sole owner. Yes, I would do it again under similar circumstances. |
