Maintenance requirements

I feel like the dealer or BMW NA keeps on changing the "free" maintenance requirements under us.
On my 07 Z4M, they warranted 2 oil changes, yearly from the PURCHASE date and the usual every 15k mile service. So I got an oil change only after like 3k(4mth later) due to the yearly timestamp.

When I called to make the same yearly oil change (purchase date is 3/27), they said it's just based on miles or yearly from last oil change date, not purchase date.

I mean yearly from last oil change date does make sense, but since they are conflicting info, I don't know what's true.

Does anyone know for sure??

Thanks.

M cars get a break-in oil change at 1200miles. You start counting the normal intervals after that.
