Loose paddles

Hey all,

I recently purchased a DCT E90 and I noticed the aftermarket paddles the previous owner installed are loose….I tried taking off the airbag and checking the mounting screws for the paddles and everything seemed to be secure….could the paddles have been incorrectly installed?

Any advice is greatly appreciated.

You may have to actually remove the entire paddle/switch assemblies off the steering wheel and disassemble to check them thoroughly. There is a small stainless steel ball bearing that acts as the pivot for the paddle, they may be missing or out of place. Just a thought. There are many DIY paddle change videos you can refer to if unsure.
