Fox red leather restore
Hello,
Hoping I can get some insight from the experts. I was able to source fox red interior for my 2013 M3 but it really needs deep cleaning before install. I've read extensively on leather products and have landed on three: 1. Swissvax 2. Leatherique 3. Colorblock I know pictures make it difficult to understand but id like some input specifically whether a proper interior detailing with Swissvax or Leatherique be sufficient or do I need to order a fox red dye to fix the bolsters? If I go Leatherique route, I live in a condo building and don't have the option to leave the car outside but since the interior is not installed, I can leave it on the garage after putting on the oil. With Colorblock acquired by another company, I cannot tell what to order from them. Any advice will be highly appreciated. Should I install the interior first and then clean or just clean the interior first before installing? |

I only have experience with leatherique so I'll let someone else chime in on the other two products. Based on the pictures the bolsters appear to have the pigment worn off in spots. I'd still do a thorough clean and condition with leatherique but you'll need some sort of dye to restore the worn areas.
I was in a condo last time I used leatherique so I pulled the interior and wrapped in plastic garbage bags and left in the sun on my deck. The leather came out really nice.

I would start with Ledermax strong cleaner and conditioner and see where that gets you. Follow their guide. My detailer said he knows a guy who can de-dye for $300, but he said he doesn't like how dyed leather feels and does not prefer it. I am not sure what product. I have seen guys use Leatherique on ferrari interior with good results, though I am not sure what it feels like.
