My M3 & Other Photos.........

Hi All,

I am new to the forum but a member of M3Cutters (UK based forum I believe) I see a few of the guys are on here too so I thought I would sign up! I recently took delivery of my new E92 DCT M3, the car is the new 2011 model only real change is the new LED rear lights, the car as I write this is in the delaers for it's 1200 mile service so the fun begins later!!

I have also posted a few photos next to my dads GTR (photos arent great as it was a few snaps taken on my phone) I am hoping to get some good quality photos done soon. I hope you like!

Why no start and stop button? Did you fit the LED rears?

Well spotted...... Here in the UK (not sure elsewhere) most if not all the early build week 2011 model year M3's were mis built without stop start, all the other changes were added. I had the option to reject the car and BMW would build me another one but wasn't worth the wait IMO.

I don't blame you, had they missed off anything else I woud have rejected but I am not overly kean on the stop start technology anyway and wouldn't really benefit me as the car is a weekend 'toy' so not a lot of city/town driving anyway.

They're talking about the stop/start feature to cut the engine when vehicle is stationary at the lights. Not available in NA.

Nice stable you got there! Did you powdercoat the OEM 19's yourself?

CONGRATS!!!! I wouldn't had waited for a new ride either. And i can't believe those are black OEM 19's, they look BADASS, im surprised by how much nicer they look compared to some good black aftermarket wheels. ANd these are forged, good one BMW.

Well, im out, and have fun in the M3 and the GTR!!!!

Thanks for the comments guys, I still think I made the right move going for the M3 over the GTR some may think I am crazy but I love my M3 there is something about the GTR I just can't 'love' it, maybe because my seriously uncool dad owns one lol!

Anyway in answer to your question BMW painted the wheels for me at the dealership, done a very good job actually.
