PSA: iPhone 16 Pro fits in the OEM wireless charging shelf

I like many others had been curious if the iPhone 16 pro fits in the OEM wireless charging shelf since the phone is a little bigger than the last 4 generations of iPhone.

I’m pleased to report that it fits. Barely. Couple of mm to spare.

Well, after a driving around a bit today, it may not be all good.

There seems to be coil alignment issues with the phone and the charger. The charger will repeatedly start charging, stop and start again.

This may be an alignment issue, or it might be a result of the additional camera thickness causing the phone to sit farther away from the charger.

For reference, my 13pro had no issues other than getting really hot while running carplay.
