e92 m3 vs. new TTv8 550
Anyone on here gone from the m3 to the new 550? Regrets? Or win?
I would only get the 550 with manual and M sport package of course.

No manual in new m5, no dice.
But damn it I need something that seats 5. So e90 m3 or f10 550. F it I'll just throw someone in the trunk.

In the end I ordered another e90 M3 since I had two sets of track wheels and a Bimmerworld brake kit. I was also leery about ordering a first year car after my debacle with the DCT. I'm very happy with my current e90, but for a street car, I think the 535 or 550 with sport package is an awesome alternative. In a year this will be a mute question since there won't be a sedan version of the M3.

Is there any tuning aftermarket for that V8TT...because I can see a lot of power coming outta that thing.
Of course, it'll be a better DD. IMHO, a 335i, let alone a 535i is a better DD than the low mpg, low tq, M3 sedan...so a 550i would be a very lazy, very strong BMW daily driver. If you track, it's the M3 all the way. The 550i shouldn't be anywhere near a track. |

Dinan already has a Stage 1 chip out and it's making 495hp/573tq. I've driven my mom's F01 750i and there's nothing like having 450 lbs-ft torque available at 1750 rpm for a daily driver.
