No: 8-Speed Sport Direct-Shift (SPDS) gear box
Upshifts as quick as 0.1 seconds (manual mode) The E92 M3 rolled out as a true manual because its a driver's car. |

I like the view from the front. As with the new E92 M3, which has grown on many of us, I think this car may do that as well. I don't think it will be much competition for the M3s performance but that is based on an estimate of its weight.
-Nice torque figure 350+ ft lb -Nice brake specs (lots of pistons - will look good - does not guarantee good performance) -8 speed trany - cool, auto only - not cool -19s stock - cool -VDIM - cool Would really like to know: -Weight -Redline -Price -N'ring time |

It's a Japanese Pony Car. A luxury Mustang. Light years behind the Nissan GTR or even the Evo in road performance.

Not sure if this video has already been posted, it's the IS-F at Laguna Seca (I think... it looks like the cork screw in the video).
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WGTVOT2R3xg Definitely has loads of torque from its 5L engine, but how it delivers its power to the redline is still questionable. I remember test driving the old IS years back... good mid range flexibility but asthmatic and coarse as it closes in on the redline. |

Auto - no gracias
8 speed tranny - sounds kind of gimmicky to me. There's probably a reason BMW, Merc, and most importantly, F1 are all doing 7 speeds. And from that vid it looks like it has loads of understeer until they finally power it into oversteer.

Why IS-F and C63 have fog lights on their V8, but not M3?

Every single cosmetic change made from the IS350 to get to this was ill conceived. I'm sure its possible to make an IS look meaner and more extreme, but they could not have gotten it more wrong.

Looks like they bolted on some aftermarket parts that fell off the back of a truck!
Knowing Lexus though, it will probably have excellent NVH characteristics which will probably win them some sales. |
