The one-two punch: first Z06, now a pair of ATS-V's and .. OMG!!!!!
Taken from http://wot.motortrend.com/1401_cadil..._turbo_v6.html
Since the launch of the Cadillac ATS, we’ve waited with baited breath for an ATS-V. Now, we can share some details, and they’re better than you could hope. Yes, Virginia, there will be an ATS-V, and it will be powered by Cadillac’s twin-turbo 3.6-liter V-6 making 425 hp. Better yet, it’s slated to get a seven-speed manual gearbox option. Even better than that is Cadillac's plan for an ATS-V+, which will get an even more powerful V-8, and could arrive as soon as 2017. Could the V-8 be the new supercharged, "625+ hp" LT4 from the 2015 Corvette Z06? We sure hope so. What's not getting the LT4 is the new Cadillac CTS-V. Instead, it gets a new twin-turbo version of the Corvette’s LT1 V-8, an engine that's also slated for the next Corvette ZR1. Additional plans call for seven-speed manual, an eight-speed auto, and a dual-clutch transmission, though that quick-shifting gearbox probably won’t arrive until early 2015. In all, the ATS family appears to be filling out quite nicely. The 2015 Cadillac ATS coupe, made its debut at the 2014 Detroit auto show, with the two-door sporting sleek lines and Caddy's new badge that ditches the wreath. Like the sedan, the ATS coupe is offered with the turbo-four and V-6 and rear or all-wheel drive. That said, expect the V treatment to carryover to the two-door ATS as well." Leaving off the ZR1 talk because it's way too early to discuss that, this is absolutely FABULOUS news for us E9X M3 owners who don't want to give up the V8 in search for our next cars. All Hail the ATS-V+!!! (actually I think the V8 version will just be called "ATS-V" whereas the 3.6 TT version will be called the "ATS V-sport" like its CTS cousin) |

I don't know why but I just can't get excited about a Cadillac. Maybe it's just me.
I don't think I'll ever own one however, this twin turbo V8 sounds neat.

I have that same feeling. I'm sure it'll be a great car, but it just doesn't excite me. Call me a brand whore

It's not the brand for me. I just think they are extremely hideous looking cars. I don't know why most american "luxury" cars have to look so gaudy.

I like what Cadillac has going on, they are getting their mojo together.
Well built, excellent steering feedback, rock solid chassis, with the CTSV and CTS outsporting BMW at their own game. While I agree the look is not for everybody, the CTS-V and new CTS are excellent drivers. I missed the steering feedback of the CTSV vs. my M6, and even M3 after a few drives. While I'm still a BMW fan and love their cars, I really don't like how they have dumbed down the new 5 and 3. Now that they are comfortable and quiet cars that suit all ages and driving needs, it makes them less desirable to me...

The ATS at the Detroit car show had a nice subtle brush alum (looking) grill. The car was dark grey and had very nice wheels, it was a really clean looking car. I have no idea how they drive, but they lease super cheap I think my father is going to get one for his daily.
