Matte Black Mirrors Painted Gloss Black

So I bought some m3 mirrors from a forum member years ago, perfect match with all functions and tinted glass. Only thing is they are the e93 matte black and I have gloss black everywhere, I kinda liked the difference at first but if getting some cf caps I need to have the gloss black I think. Should I just get a decent paint shop to paint them gloss black? Remove the caps and gloss ofc..

Anybody see any issues with this, I'd hate to fork out $1400 for a new set then selling these and snagging another is hard to come by, was a day late to the last ones for example.

TIA

Painting them is fine. No issue there.

Maybe there's someone out there that would trade their gloss for your matte? Post a WTT ad in the exterior classifieds and see if you get any takers

I had mine (on my 2012 E93 M3) painted BMW Jet Black color code 668. They look perfect. I want to say it was somewhere around $150 to do both at a local auto paint shop. Definitely a big improvement over the faded/matte black they put on the E93 mirrors.

Thanks man, ya I got a similar quote from my body shop too so I may just go that route, have them be like brand new, even though my matte are in really good shape only 1 tiny knick on drivers side. The jet/gloss just matches the car so much better. Gonna look to getting rid of front bumper matte black also at the time
