3.62 Final Drive Owners...

Any feedback about using 3.62 final drive in a daily driven car with occasional trackdays? Any watch outs, and if you had a do over, would you go 3.62 again?

Thanks for any advice offered!

DCT 7 speed. 3.62 won't work for E9x M3 6MT.

I have a diffsonline 3.62 diff on my e92 M3. It was originally installed on my '09 and then installed on my '12 after I sold my '09. The diff worked flawlessly with the DCT on my '09; however, it's had some harsh shifting issues on the '12. I'm not sure why - both have GTS DCT software. Things start out shifting smoothly but then sometimes it starts to shift harshly. I'm wondering if it's heat related so I'm going to install an aftermarket DCT cooler (do88 or CSF). Except for the harsh shifting, I absolutely love the 3.62 diff!

Hi M3SQRD, thanks for the feedback. Is yours daily driven? What do you mean by harsh shifting?

How many miles do you have on that "lifetime" DCT fluid. May not be heat but lost fluid making levels low which definitely affects shifts in ANY trans DCT or typical torque converter trans.

It is not daily driven. Harsh shifting = throw your head forward/back (worse than normal).

I have a 3.45 going in shortly. Car will not be "daily" driven, but will be driven on the road and track. Happy to send you feedback if you'd like.

Yes please! Where did you get the 3.45 from? I've only seen 3.62 available.
