BMW Teleservice
Got this e-mail for 1st 1200 mile service....car has 700 (+-) miles. What triggers this to happen? Is it simply a mileage prompt?
Takes 2 weeks to get a service appointment to include a loaner car. They are also going to re-do the XM/Sirius download that didn't take the first time at new car delivery. Says it takes a few hours just for that.....paid about $350 for this privilege. Had XM for over ten years in many new cars (Acuras) & never heard this one. Thanks! ************************************************** ****** "Your 2013 M3 Coupe has indicated that you need to schedule a service appointment for the following service(s): • Engine oil You may not have noticed it requires attention - fortunately, your BMW knows exactly when the time is right. Thanks to BMW TeleService, an intelligent onboard system, your vehicle automatically alerts BMW with information about its maintenance needs. Just mileage to the break-in service. I would just schedule the appointment now if it takes two weeks to get one (depending on how much you drive the car).
