Driveshaft “binding” feeling in reverse?

My garage is on a slight incline and I reverse into it so I can get close to the wall. Twice now, I’ve got up the incline portion into the flat garage and as I’m backing in, a huge thump ensues and it feels like I broke something in the rear end. Last night, my brother saw it happen and he said the passenger wheel sorta shifted. It’s bad enough that it’s making me not want to reverse. I have a new guibo and center bearing on order, but wanted to see if anyone else had a similar issue. The threads I read didn’t quite describe it this way. Car is DCT.

Giubo and CSB aren’t likely to do much to improve your situation. Your rear diff is probably locking up as your passenger rear wheel lifts going into your garage over the threshold. You may need to coast into your garage to avoid this or maybe a different DCT map would help.

I’m hoping those solve some of my other clunky issues to be honest. I did a full DCT service on top of getting the GTS map recently (still happened before). I find that I have to get a running start with enough speed that I can make it into the garage without needing more gas. It gets difficult though because sometimes I need to adjust. Trying to reverse from a stop on the incline is basically a recipe for disaster.
