Looking to buy e92 M3 - Manual - CF roof
Hi all, I've been a long time member mainly over on the 1 series forums. I sold my worked 135i with all the BMW performance parts on it once kids came along. It's now time for something a bit more exciting to drive and I am stuck on wanting an e92 M3. There aren't many for sale in manual. So just like other posts on here, I also would prefer to buy from an enthusiast just like myself.
I am after an e92 M3 Manual with a carbon roof. Any color considered. Many thanks in advance and sorry for posting yet another wanted post. If you are selling or know someone that is, please let me know. |

too true and tempting. However the V8 has always been a car I wanted, although much slower, I think it's more the noise that I want plus not many F series in manual (very rare). I drive autos daily, so I want something a bit more engaging and raw.

yep i think it's over priced to be honest. especially with no add ons and bearing work done. i know the market has gone up but i think it's way over priced. there are some awesome DCTs around though... actually wondering if i should forget manual and go dct! did you see the new sunroof one? |

only 17 e92's for sale on carsales, think the prices may actually go up in a few years time. love my white e92 6 speed manual with carbon roof, still turns heads, which is impressive for a car that's 13 years old

Yes a few manuals, but no cf roof. I agree some are overpriced but maybe prices are going up in Oz.
Reason I say this is I bought my 2009 one in Brissy about 9 months ago for a good price (much less than a lot of the ones currently on the market in Oz, but I think Covid had something to do with that, people offloading things who were out of work) mine has all the options ticked inc cf roof, 19' wheels, full service and owner history etc but is dct and has had the rod bearings done, corsa exhaust, suspension mods etc too, so yes some of the ones currently available in Oz seem to possibly be on the high side. Best of luck and look forward to the thread when you get what you are looking for. |

thanks all. yes it's a hard one. agreed prices have gone up but the higher priced ones aren't moving. i would pay higher for a good car but the money vs condition on some doesn't match.
Hopefully i can join the normal posts when i get one. I'd even consider DCT given how hard it's it is now as it's probably better suited to the engine than a manual plus those downshifts are amazing.... but it's not going to be a daily, so my preference is still a raw manual to make it different to the every day drive. |

I hear what you are saying about the manual, (still have my modded V8 6 spped manual VE Commodore) but I love the dct, drive it like a daily, putting around and leave it in auto if you like or step up the settings and pull the paddles, great fun 👍 |

We had both a DCT and Manual in the family for years, the DCT is a fantastic car and nothing wrong with it but the manual is so much more engaging. Sold the DCT and hanging on to the manual one. If you can find the right car its well worth the search

I sold my E92 DCT M3 . When i got it the first day i did not like the dct . Be great on a race track.had it for 3 years . But driving around town its not for me . Have a manual m3 now and the first day i loved it Have a full akrapovic exhaust . It sounds like a race car 😎. Very loud though around 4k
I had the m3 world full exhaust before . Sounded awesome too .i still have the rear section m3 world with valves Last edited by M3CRZY; 02-26-2021 at 09:51 PM.. |

Hey guys, new to the forum and saw this post.
If you're in the market, I'd definitely put aside some budget to checking out cars interstate which can be done in one day when flying. I'm from Melb and bought mine from Syd and organised door-to-door transport with PrixCars to complete the process. Could also help with any state restrictions imposed! |
