loud clunk from underneath
Was out for a drive and while cruising, heard a loud clunk from underneath- thought I ran over a large rock although I didn't see any on the road.
Then the car started to feel a bit sluggish, and sounded a bit off too. When I was stopped at a light, the engine stalled on its own (DCT). Mild vibration at idle. No CEL. Don't have a lift at home so could not check underbody. Did I run over a rock that damaged something (exhaust system)? Thanks. |

Hard to tell without taking a look under the car. Many possibilities, including road debris putting a hole in your DCT oil pan (its plastic) and the transmission running out of fluid.
