Adaptive Lighting Change (Euro AHL2)

Refresher in case you missed it.

Prerequisites:
  • FRM3 module (many m3s come with FRM2, generally replaced with FRM3 modules by dealer);
  • Adaptive Headlights (must be switched to "auto")

Steps:
  • Use NCSexpert to change: AHL2_ENABLE - akitv
Outcome
  • standard is "1". lighting switch to "On" reverts output to standard (non adaptive)
  • motorway setting "4" (highway speed 68mph; 100km/h) remains adaptive
    • longer light throw because right headlight is raised slightly
  • town setting "2" (under 68mph; 100km/h) remains adaptive, with extended corner light timing
    • wider flood due to the left headlight shifts left and down slightly (similar to an always on fog light)
Speed trigger points can be modified as well.
