Calabogie Noise Tests
Just got off the phone with the people up there and was explaned the noise criteria in detail.
98db @ 15 ft from the exhaust exit 2/3rds of peak rpm used (8400 redline 5570) 92 db max while on track. They have had some issues this year,so they are being more diligent right now as they get fined at least $1900 for every violation that is recorded by the local monitoring stations as required by the local authorities. Anybody that is coming on the 11th that thinks they might have an issue might think about checking their cars noise level before the trip up there. http://www.radioshack.com/product/in...ductId=2103668 |

You will be fine.Steve's monster 7 litre is the one that I concerned about passing.Jay should be OK also even with his mods.My Duc passed with readings in the mid 80's and that pipe was rated at 92db by Termi. My buddies 70 Boss 302 with over 400 horse is almost at the limit and it is way louder than your stock AMG is.

If someone is overly concerned about passing and are near limit you should do what I did and go to a custom shop to make some exhaust tips that curve downwards.
This takes away about 4 db of sound which is significant. At Tremblant I got blackflagged (they are at 92db on the track) for passing at 92.4 db and that's why I had them custom made. If your exhaust tips are removable like mine that is. My AA tips are removable and I just slide these other ones in. Looks awful but gets the job done.
