Autosolutions SSK shifter bushing question

Need recommendation. Is anyone running AS SSK with different brand carrier bushings? Any fitment issues or problems?

Currently running 50a shifter carrier arm bushings. They are the original bushings which came with the purchase of the SSK by PO in 2020. Wanted to try something a bit stiffer (since I’ll be having someone do some work in that area of the car.) Sorry if this has been asked before but I can’t find a thread. Pic of what I’m talking about.

Running, since summer`23, AS SSK Spherical Bearing series Ultra kit, spherical bearing series-Lever/rod/Coupler with Urethane Bronze Front Bushing Upgrade 90a+

My Take - Very precise, a tad bit more effort yet excellent, 'positive feel'. Mild increase in NVH.

Unfortunately Ronald doesn’t sell these urethane bronze bushings separately so I’m unable to upgrade through him which means I have to search other brands. Good to hear it feels good though.

That surprises me, but did you reach out to him directly about it? Perhaps it’s not listed on the website but maybe he would build it in support of his own equipment.

I had him build mine with an 80A hardness bushing. Coupled with red line MTL-1 in the transmission, about as good as it gets with a BMW.

Just don’t drive a manual Miata or a 991 911, because the comparison will just piss you off. Why BMW, WHY? Lol.

I did reach out directly. He told me he doesn’t sell these bushings separately. He said I could send the entire shifter assembly in for refresh for a nominal price or free to PO. Unfortunately this would put my car down for weeks as I do not have a back up shifter assembly nor do I want to have the work done twice.
