Recommendation needed: Wheel/tire install shop near Nashua, NH
I have some nice new APEX wheels and Pilot Sport 4S tires that I want to get on my 2009 M3 and I am looking for recommendations relatively near Nashua, NH.
I need the tires mounted, balanced, etc...as well as having new TPMS units installed. Thanks, George

Understanding Allston (Boston) is close to a 45 minute drive away, I get all my work done at a BMW/Porsche/Mini specialist shop in town, German Performance Service. By far the best mechanics I've ever dealt with, would trust them with my life. Swapping winter/summer tires last time I did it in the late fall was $100. Getting my pilot super sports swapped this upcoming Thursday, I'll let you know if the price is any different.
Regardless of service, they are always willing to chat with me 30+ minutes last two times I visited, just talking shop and their enthusiasm and excitement is palpable. They've consistently told me items/services that are a waste of money, or fixes I can do myself to save money, purposely turning down revenue to benefit their customer. Run by an ex BMW and Porsche racer/crew chief; they are incredibly knowledgeable. The service manager Rob is the man, ex-BMW tech. Always look forward to dropping my M3 off and seeing all the new and vintage Porsche and BMWs parked out front, it seems apparent I'm not the only one that trusts their baby with them. Even for a simple wheel swap, I wouldn't go anywhere else! Hope this rant helps... |

If you want to drive 45 minutes, I have used Town Fair Tire in Concord NH. They have put at least 10 sets of tires on my BMWs over the years — turbo E36 M3, E90 M3, E61 535xi, and others, aligned the cars, installed new TPMS, etc. If you buy your tires from Town Fair, they will swap your winters and summers for free though I do my own since I have a lift and it’s easier for me to do it than drive over with the wheels and wait for them. They match the prices I find online for the tires I choose — mostly Michelin and Continental but sometimes a different high performance tire or a snow, track or drag tire. The manager, Chris, has a highly modded 135i.
Tire shops aren’t rocket science. I am sure you can find a good one in Nashua. No need to pay Mass tax. |
