Plzz Help me finding right tire and right place to buy
Hi All,
Plz help me in finding a right REAR tires. Car model is 2013 M3 Coupe with Competition package. I would like to have a tire which has a more tread life and good amount of grip. I have short listed A) Pilot Super Sport (30000 mile warranty - No Rotation so 15000 mile warranty) B) Pilot Sport A/S 3 (W- or Y-Speed Rated) (45000 mile warranty - No Rotation so 22500 mile warranty) C) Pilot Sport PS2 (OEM Tire) - Lasted only 9000 miles. So dont want to put them again. I like the Pilot Sport A/S 3 as it has more miles warranty. But not sure whether it would fit my car, performance and also complies speed/safety rating for M3. And also, is Costco a better place to buy tires. Any advice or Tip is appreciated. Thanks in Advance. |

In San Diego with no cold weather and no track use, I would go with the PSS of the three. Tread wear warranty is hard to win; I haven't won one.
I would not let the Cosco near me touch my wheels. |

The Super Sport has the best grip for wet or dry weather. They are out of stock in the 265/35R19 but available in 275/35R19 which also works. They do have better wear compared to the PS2.
The All-Season 3 has good grip for an all-season, but it is not recommended to mix summer and all-season tires on the same car. So if you are doing those, you should change the fronts too. Technically, Michelin advises against mixing the PS2 and PSS as well. But at least those are both summer tires. If you want to have optimally balanced handling and don't want to change out all 4, you could get the PS2, wear them out, and by that time you'd probably be ready to change all 4.
