Old Trunk Emblem Outline

Just swapped out the trunk badge for IND painted one. There was an outline of the old badge that I thought would be covered up by the new one. You can still slightly see the edges. Not sure if I messed up by already putting on the new badge.

Any recommendations to clean these edges up? To the touch it felt flat to the paint and I applied 3m adhesive remover a few times

Tape the edges of the 3 and use polishing compound with a tooth brush.

Thanks I’ll try this when I get the chance! Also saw that using a clay bar might help.

Any polishing compound you recommend?
