50K is pretty much normal for an '08. That's actually close to the average amount of mileage driven in a year for a regular car in the USA, which is 12k/year.

A person with a '08 m3 with 50K miles on the clock is basically driving 12.5K/year. That is not bad if you ask me.

Low mileage '08 M3's are those with less than 40K miles on the clock. Their owners are basically driving less than 10K/year.
