I can't believe that a wear and tear item isn't covered under the maintenance plan...any thoughts?

Your 6/100k maintenance extension only covers basic maintenance serivces. Oil changes, brake flush, wipers, belts, pads/rotors.

Suspension components are not covered under that plan, or Certified Pre-Owned.
