Well based on what you said above, I am a bit older then you
in fact I think there are only one or two other members here older the I am. Age btw is just a frame of mind, you are as young as you feel
Lets see when you were a teenager let us say the year was 1987 (since the e30 went into production in 1985).
1987 was a very good year I just turned 50 and made myself a present by ordering the 535is that rolled off the assembly line 1987 to 1988..
The 535is has a straight-6 with a sport suspension and interior and exterior modifications - 182 hp (135 kW). At that time it incorporated some of the M5 styling like the front air-dam, rear spoiler, and sport seats. The M5 was a bit too expensive for me at the time so I settled for the 535is. We still have that car in our family that family member btw loves the car and has no intention ever to sell it.
My current M3 was also purchased on a special date ... You do the math
..... I only wish for you and others to be as lucky in life as I have been to this point in my life and walk into a dealership of your choice and purchase what your heart desires.
While the M3 is a wonderful car I know this ... My loyally to BMW has faded away somewhat and my next car will be something else. Whatever it will be will be I shall make it known here once I leave my last post in this fine forum.
