I changed my thermostat this past weekend. This thread helped a lot. I used a 2 way transfer pump as recommended in this thread for draining the coolant out of the overflow container. It worked great. Overall, the trickiest part for me was loosening/tightening the 8 clamps that hold the plenum on. Some of the screws are very hard to get to. I would have used a 6mm socket, but I did not have an extension. Thanks to everyone in this thread for their input, as I saved a lot of money by doing this on my own.
