In many parts of America, non-Asian women are not attracted to Asian men (in fact, many Asian women are not attracted to Asian men, but I digress). I'd venture to say that 90% of all Asian-White couples have the female being Asian. As a result, many Asian men, for better or worse, feel empowered at the prospect of dating a non-Asian girl. There are many social reasons for this, but I don't want to go into it here.
