In Germany, there is, but only for some affected cars, see here.

I believe it is the same problem as discussed here.

In the second thread, you will find the part number of the repair set (it seems to be a well-known problem that has probably forced the recall or "Serienstandsverbesserung", as BMW calls a deliberate recall here).

I do not think that the OP has a contact problem with the battery pole, that would be highly unlikely. People in germany have reported a total blackout which sometimes healed itself. When oxidation happens in the defective contact, that may be a symptom. In some cases, the juction box contact already had melted because of the bad contact and had to be replaced as well.
