For a friend I have also installed into a 320 with hifi. Still lacks bass.
I find it more noticeable on the individual audio but this is my main car so perhaps that is why.
Everything else is great and the convenience of CarPlay outweighs the bass issue. I will however be replacing the mr12volt unit in mine once the Updated DSP one is released.

Thank you for confirming that I was incorrect.
You saved me $$$ and time, as I was going to try it myself.
I will wait for the updated version with the DSP fix.
