Today we're doing Mt Vesuvio and Pompeii. We will also visit towns along the Amalfi Coast. We try not to plan every little detail. Flexibility in travels has ended us with some cool experiences we weren't planning on. On this leg of the trip, we're looking to be a little more chill. We hit it hard in Rome but were able to see a lot.
Last time we were in Europe we flew into Paris. We had the first 3 nights booked but didn't know where we were going from there. We were thinking south of France over to Spain. We ended up in a Venice exhibit in Paris and our route changed. We went Paris-Strasbourg-Zurich-Chur-Tirano-Milan-Venice.
M5Rick we went to the Vatican yesterday. It is an enormous place. It was neat to see the highlight and I'm sure we saw only a fraction of the galleries. Art is not really my thing. We did a tour so learning the history behind a lot of what we saw was very helpful. It was a nice time but wouldn't have to go back.
