If you're lowering than 275/30 is easier since you want have to mess with it. If you're staying stock, it's in my opinion, 265/35 fits great.
I'd like to install the kw has kit on the existing 265/35's but not sure it'll work with how low I'd like it to sit. Just to eliminate the fender gap basically. Thinking I might have to wait until I switch to a 275/30.

Matter of opinion. I have no plans to lower the car and it fills the wheel gap very well and I also have zero issues. It's matter of preference. "Isn't right" is not accurate.
I didn't buy a ZCP car to ultimately change the suspension. I chose a 265/35 cause I wanted the best ride while filling the wheel gap. I get compliments all the time with how it sits. Every one has their opinion on looks so that'll be up to each person. It's like saying the only reason to go with a square wheel set up is to have the ability to rotate tires. It's certainly one of the main reasons but not the only reason.
